What college has taught me:
- to cut stuff like bread in a straight line
- how to manage money
- what I like and don't like to eat
- I'm stubborn like a weed
- you don't have a clue what's good for you when you're in high school
- there's someone for everyone
- even people with PhDs are capable of learning from a common person
- if you're going with the crowd, you're doing something wrong
- you have to have fun every once and a while
- You can have really bad days
- Karma is a concept, not a reality
- everyone has something they're good at
- It is possible to write a fifteen page paper and for it not to suck
- the things you love most in life will rarely be something that most other people love
- good friends make all the difference
- it is possible to get along with the person you're dating
- you can really stretch a dollar if you need to
- happiness is a product of the absence of stress, and the addition of good company
- alcohol does not substitute for a bandage
- some of your best and most passionate work (as an artist) may be something that you can't show your professor or employer
