So, I know this has nothing to do with inspiration, but they're taking down my favorite website which upsets me very deeply.
To all you manga fans out there, onemanga is going away. Mangahut also bit the dust quite recently. It may not sound like it, but this is a HUGE loss. Unlike MangaFox which picks and chooses which manga can be uploaded, onemanga and manghut usually let people upload almost whatever. Some of the series found in Onemanga cannot be found anywhere else.
But don't despair. Afterall, there is still Mangafox, 1000Manga (even though its super small), and a good portion of manga uploaders have also migrated to Mangatoshokan.com.
Its cool... we'll get through it if we just band together.

Alice in Wonderland - Funky Color Correction
So, me an my roommate went to see Alice and Wonderland in 2D today. All in all, a great movie. The acting was pretty amazing, and the story was strong. There was one thing though that kept taking me out of the movie. Thankfully, it only happened for a few select scenes (specifically where the white queen was involved), but the color correction was off. And I'm not just talking, there was a slight shade difference. I mean, it had this really dark, beautiful purple one frame, and the next it was a sickly greenish yellow, like the color you get from the light when you film in a warehouse. And just after that was a brighter pink that left the image much softer than the purple. Thankfully neither error lasted very long, but I still question why it happened at all. I mean, I know they put most of their effort into the 3D version, but color correction... really? That's one of the most important parts of the movie. Anyway, I have no other complaints. Great movie. Hope I get to see it again sometime.

We look and think, "I wish that was me..."
College. It's a love hate relationship. For some, the burden is too great, but for those who stick with it, we drive onward. More miracles happen in a single college in a single year than happen for a single person in a lifetime. And for the art student, we know this doubly well. I know first hand how projects, no matter how large or daunting, somehow, almost always, make the deadline. It is a reward for those who give all they have, but somehow feel as if they still haven't given nearly enough, and a sweet ending for those who know for certain that they couldn't have given any more.
We are crazy for wanting to go to college, and yet strangely happy because it is just one more step on the path to where our life is taking us. Yet it is only apparent during the breaks from school just how much of our lives, classes consume. It is during these breaks that we get to see the finer things in life, and for some, the more wild side of it. Best wishes to all for a restful, productive, and relaxing spring break!

Shaun White Wins Gold
It seems only fitting that someone like Shaun White should be the first person to be posted about on this blog. After all, he makes the impossible nothing more than an improbability, every day. Never before has any athlete sparked such a flame of passion for sport and patriotic excitement in me. The world has watched as he went from the aspiring rookie four years ago to a veteran legend. His amazing tricks make even the most quiet and laid back raise their fists in the air and cheer. His skills and dare take him to a level far above anything anyone can yet reach, and still, he climbs ever higher. He is a symbol of everything that a person aspires to be, while still retaining humanity. Congratulations on yet another Gold Metal! Your fans... all several hundred thousand plus of us, are behind you all the way.
